The international regatta "President's Cup-2025" has started in Sugovushan

Today, the international regatta "President's Cup-2025" starts in the picturesque corner of Karabakh - Sugovushan, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev and organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Rowing and Canoe Federation.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, first there will be an opening ceremony of the international regatta, and then - competitions at a distance of 200 meters.

More than 200 athletes from 20 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa will take part in the regatta. Along with Azerbaijani athletes, rowers from Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will compete in the regatta.

The regatta will continue on May 1-2 at the Mingachevir Olympic Training and Sports Center "Kura". Teams will compete at various distances in kayaking, canoeing and rowing.
