"Real" began negotiations on Mourinho's transfer
The management of football club "Real" has begun negotiations on the transfer of head coach of Portuguese "Benfica" José Mourinho to an analogous position at the Spanish club.
This was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his X page.
According to the source, the parties are already in direct contact. It is noted that "Benfica" wants Mourinho to continue working at the club, however the final decision rests with the president of the Madrid club, Florentino Pérez.
Mourinho is 63 years old, he managed "Real" from 2010 to 2013, under his leadership the team won the Spanish championship, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup once each. The Portuguese took charge of "Benfica" in September 2025.
