Gurban Gurbanov: "The score should not deceive us"

As reported by BAKU.WS, these words were spoken by the head coach of "Qarabag" Gurban Gurbanov at a press conference after the impressive 3:1 victory over Hungarian "Ferencvaros" in the first match of the UEFA Champions League playoff.

The coach noted the fighting spirit of his team: "Despite serious pressure, the players demonstrated real dedication. I want to thank the fans of both clubs. This is the Champions League, and the score should not deceive us. The opponent has players who can determine the outcome of the match. In the return game in Baku, we need to be even more focused".

G.Gurbanov also commented on the tense moments of the match: "When the opponent scored the first goal, there was some anxiety. However, we were able to overcome this. Of course, we didn't want to concede. Our main goal is to score in every match".

The return match between the teams will take place on August 27 in Baku.
