Azerbaijan took the second position in the medal standings at the III CIS Countries Games

Azerbaijan took second place in the overall medal count of the III CIS Countries Games held on its territory.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Oxu.Az, on the final day of the competition, Azerbaijani gymnasts won six more medals at the tournament in Sheki, strengthening the team's position in the final standings.

In total, the Azerbaijan team won 184 medals, including 33 gold, 56 silver, and 95 bronze awards.

The winner of the III CIS Countries Games was the Russian team, which accumulated 231 medals - 130 gold, 61 silver, and 40 bronze. The Belarus team took third place, winning 122 medals (including 32 gold, 38 silver, and 52 bronze).

It is noted that this result became Azerbaijan's best performance in the history of the CIS Countries Games, which have been held since 2021.
