Workplace discrimination in Baku: "Only women get promoted..."

When viewing job advertisements, it becomes obvious that most employers establish age and gender restrictions for applicants.
At the same time, there is a trend where, when terminating employment contracts for various reasons, preference is given to middle-aged individuals. This not only creates financial difficulties for these people but also calls into question their pension provision during the period before reaching retirement age.
Baku TV conducted a survey among residents of the capital on this issue.
Citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the existing problem, voicing opinions: "Some company managers promote only young women," "We should look not at age, but at experience."
Discrimination in the workplace contradicts the requirements of Article 25 of the Constitution and Article 16 of the Labor Code. The State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reports that employers who commit such actions are held accountable.
