There will be innovations in the direction of strengthening social support for teachers.

According to BAKU.WS, starting this fall, people engaged in teaching activities will be provided with discount cards.

These cards will create opportunities for teachers to use a number of discounts and benefits in various areas - from transportation to shopping, from catering services to electronic resources. The project aims to improve the social welfare of teachers and provide additional motivation for their professional activities.

A representative of the Education Development Fund, Könül Abdulrashidova, told BAKU.WS that the organization is working on creating a discount card that includes various discounts and privileges for education sector employees and teachers, collaborating with various partners:

"As part of the project, we aim to turn this card into a multifunctional tool. But this process requires a certain amount of time. Currently, work is being done on the technical details of the card, so it's difficult to name an exact date.

Currently, extensive work is being done on the "TalebePlus" ("StudentPlus") card, which provides students with a number of benefits. Students can take advantage of discounts of up to 75% provided by more than 350 partners through this card.

The benefits cover areas such as bookstores, restaurants, entertainment centers, and supermarkets. Negotiations are underway regarding the application of benefits on transport."The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan announced the results of the entrance examination to residency conducted on May 4, 2025 (examination for assessment of knowledge on basic subjects, first attempt).

As Oxu.Az reports with reference to the SEC, out of 1,448 candidates who were supposed to take part in the exam, 34 people did not show up for the test. 387 candidates fulfilled the conditions of the first stage competition (40 or more points). Among those who successfully passed the selection are 193 students of the 4th and 5th years.

Students of 4-5 courses who received a "satisfactory" grade on the exam in basic disciplines are admitted to the exam in special subjects only after obtaining the right to enter residency. A total of 194 candidates were admitted to the second stage, of which 72 are graduates of this year, and 122 are graduates of previous years.

In addition, 654 candidates who previously received a "satisfactory" grade on the exam in basic disciplines and registered for admission to residency this year are also directly admitted to the second stage - the exam in special subjects.

To consider appeals related to the exam results, an Appeals Commission will operate online (via Zoom or by phone). The electronic application form for contacting the Appeals Commission will be posted on the website apelyasiya.dim.gov.az. Candidates can contact the commission from 10:00 on May 6 until 17:00 on May 7.

Note 1. A repeat exam (2nd attempt) to assess basic knowledge is planned for June 29. Registration for participation in the exam will be conducted online on the SEC website from June 4 to 12, 2025.

Note 2. The exam to assess knowledge of special subjects (Stage II) is planned for August 10. Candidates who scored 40 or more points on the exam in basic disciplines and received the right to enter residency are admitted to the exam in special subjects.

Each candidate can visit the SEC website and view their exam results and a graphic image of their answer sheet. Candidates can also find out information about the exam results by sending the code specified in the pass intended for this exam to the number 7727 through mobile operators (Azercell, Bakcell, Nar, Naxtel).
