The road near the Sarai bridge has been restored after the collapse
The road near the Saray bridge, where the collapse occurred, has been repaired.
According to BAKU.WS, repair and restoration work was carried out last night.
Regarding this issue, the press secretary of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan (SAARA) Anar Najafli in his comment to BAKU.WS explained that during the construction of the Saray bridge, the Agency did not carry out any restoration work on the access roads. There are collapses, cracks, and irregularities in some areas:
"In recent days, rumors have spread about a collapse on the Saray bridge. In fact, there are no problems with the Saray bridge. The problem exists on the access roads. During the construction of the Saray bridge, we did not carry out any restoration work on the access roads. There are collapses, cracks, and irregularities in certain sections there. We have prepared proposals for the reconstruction of this road. We have developed and submitted to the relevant authorities a proposal for reconstruction while maintaining 4 traffic lanes corresponding to the bridge. There will likely be a positive result. Yesterday, a patch was applied to the problematic section of the access road that caused the rumors," A. Najafli emphasized.
