Four victims (three women and one man) of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane crash continue to receive treatment in medical institutions under the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TƏBİB).

According to TƏBİB's response to Oxu.az's inquiry, one woman is being treated at Yeni Klinika, two people (a man and a woman) are receiving physiotherapy treatment at the Medical Rehabilitation Center, and another woman is being treated at the Balakan Central District Hospital (CDH) by her own choice.

"The patient who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Yeni Klinika and underwent surgery is currently receiving inpatient treatment at this medical facility, and her condition is assessed as moderate.

The condition of each person receiving treatment at the Medical Rehabilitation Center is assessed as satisfactory. Their treatment continues in the therapeutic department of the medical facility.

The condition of the patient receiving treatment in the surgical department of Balakan CDH is assessed as moderate.

Overall, out of 17 injured people hospitalized at Yeni Klinika and provided with necessary medical care, 13 people have already been discharged home for outpatient treatment. The health condition of those discharged for outpatient treatment is monitored by respective local doctors at their places of residence," the information states.

Recall that on the morning of December 25, 2024, an AZAL Embraer 190 aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny crashed near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board, including 5 crew members (37 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 of Russia, 6 of Kazakhstan, 3 of Kyrgyzstan). According to the latest data, 38 people died in the plane crash, including 3 crew members and both pilots.
