Servicemen of the Azerbaijani army were caught in a snow avalanche in foggy weather

While returning from their duty station located in the Gadabay district, conscript soldiers of the Azerbaijani army - Private Hamidov Ruslan Rustam oglu and Private Imanov Ali Tariel oglu were caught in a snow avalanche in foggy weather conditions.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in a joint statement by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

"Despite adverse weather conditions in the high-altitude area with difficult terrain, necessary search operations were immediately initiated to locate our servicemen.

The search and rescue operations involve forces, resources, and special equipment from the relevant units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the contractor company of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan.

The public will be provided with additional information about the results of the search operations," the statement notes.
