In the Baku Court for Serious Crimes, a high-profile trial continues against Ukrainian Oleg Krapivin, well-known in criminal circles and better known as Oleg Bakinsky, and his alleged accomplice Konstantin Kucher. Judge Elnur Nuriyev is presiding over the trial, reports Oxu.Az.

The latest hearing was held in a video conference format, where witness testimonies were heard. Speaking in court, famous athlete and First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation Fizuli Musayev described a conflict he witnessed.

"I was standing outside the office. After Sergey and Valery (Zakharenkov) went inside, I heard them arguing in Russian. Then both came outside. Valery had blood on his head. He said he was beaten," Musayev stated.

Earlier in court, another witness testified - Elshan Soltanov, who worked at Global Force company. He claims he was unaware of some contracts he signed. "They brought me ready documents, I signed without looking. Therefore, I didn't know about their execution. I could only handle internal office affairs. Konstantin Kucher appointed me to this position," Soltanov reported.

Kucher's defense petitioned to include data on border crossings into Azerbaijan by the victims from July 1, 2024, to February 2025. The petition was granted. However, the court rejected Krapivin's lawyers' request to change his preventive measure from detention to house arrest.

The next hearing has been postponed indefinitely to study case documents.

Recall that Oleg Bakinsky was detained by police last year in Baku on charges of hooliganism against a Russian citizen. He is charged under Article 221.3 (hooliganism with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, involving violence against the victim or destruction or damage to someone else's property) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Later, he was also charged under Article 178.4 (fraud committed causing damage on an especially large scale).

Besides Oleg Bakinsky, Konstantin Kucher is also involved in the case, who held the position of advisor to the Minister of Defense Industry of Ukraine on aviation issues in 2010-2011. JSC "Aviazapchast", LLC "Industrial Supplies Kazakhstan" and the owner of "Aviazapchast" and employee of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia Valery Zakharenkov are recognized as victims.
