President of Kazakhstan on the AZAL plane crash near Aktau

Kazakhstan feels sincere sympathy for brotherly Azerbaijan, with which it is connected not only by a common historical heritage, but also by the shores of the ancient Caspian Sea. This was stated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the XXXIV session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

"Peace and stability are not gifts of fate, but the result of our unity and daily work," emphasized the head of state. He recalled how last year's tragedy near Aktau united Kazakhstanis: people lined up to donate blood, brought flowers to the Embassy of Azerbaijan, expressing sympathy and support.

The President specifically noted that mercy, benevolence, and compassion are part of the national character of the Kazakh people. It is these qualities that evoke respect and admiration from the whole world.
