Over the past year, more than 50 people attempted to legalize fake foreign diplomas in Azerbaijan

The Agency for Quality Assurance in Education identified 53 fake foreign diplomas during the period from April 2023 to April 2024.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the Agency, all holders of fake documents applied to the department for recognition of their diplomas in Azerbaijan. However, thorough verification revealed the forgery of the submitted documents.

During the same period, it was established that 12 people who were denied qualification recognition managed to obtain fake recognition certificates through various workarounds.

According to the Agency's charter, its responsibilities include taking measures in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses when signs of administrative violations are detected in its field of activity.

Agency representatives emphasized that information about identified fake diplomas and certificates is systematically compiled and forwarded to the competent authorities for legal assessment in accordance with legislative requirements.
