In some cases, customs duties will be refunded: a new program has been created

The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan has developed special software to eliminate difficulties faced by citizens when importing and returning goods from abroad.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this was announced by the head of the electronic services and projects department of the SCC, Elshan Mammadov, at a seminar on "Digital Customs and Media".

He noted that currently 70-80% of the work on the special software has been completed. "The new system is planned to be put into operation within a month," he added.

Emphasizing that with the help of the new software, the cost of returned goods will be compensated by the citizen's future monthly limit, Elshan Mammadov noted that in this case, it will also be possible to refund the paid customs duties.

"However, this process will take some time. Since these funds go to the state budget, their return requires some time," he noted.
