Illegal seizure of public territory prevented in the center of Baku

The Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Baku City under the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture has identified another case of illegal occupation of public territory on Ahmed Javad Street (near Fountains Square) in the Sabail district of the capital.

This was reported to APA by the State Committee.

According to the information, during inspections conducted at the same address in March last year, as well as in January and March of this year, illegal expansion works were also identified.

"Previously, as a result of monitoring conducted by the Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Baku City in accordance with urban planning rules, illegal construction works related to such cases were repeatedly suppressed, demolition works were carried out, and in accordance with legislation, an appeal was sent to the Executive Authority of Baku City for the purpose of controlling the territory.

However, despite the appeals of the Main Department to state bodies and warnings to entrepreneurs, unauthorized installation works have again begun in this territory, and part of the public territory has been seized by various structures, creating obstacles to movement. Currently, the works being carried out in the territory have been suspended by us," - the information emphasizes.
