Distinguished journalist of Azerbaijan has passed away

Honored journalist of Azerbaijan Valeh Maharramli has passed away.

This was reported by the Press Council.

"The board members of the Council express their grief over the death of Səs newspaper veteran Valeh Maharramli and extend their deep condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased," the statement says.

V.Maharramli was born in 1952 in the Marneuli district of Georgia. Since the founding of the Səs newspaper in 1991, he worked at the publication as a translator, correspondent, executive secretary, and deputy editor-in-chief.

For his many years of work in journalism, he was awarded the "Tereggi" medal and honored with the title of "Honored Journalist".
