Bad weather in Azerbaijan led to the first death

In the village of Kalva in Agsu district, a mudflow washed away an excavator.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan (SAARA), the site manager died as a result, and three other employees were injured.

According to the agency, all the victims worked for a contractor company involved in the construction of the Muganly–Ismayilli–Gabala highway.

According to local residents, due to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions, the workers took shelter in the excavator to protect themselves from strong winds. At that moment, a mudflow covered the machinery and carried it away in the current.
