Rufat "Pump" Meykhana performer revealed the truth about modern meykhana and youthful mistakes
A new episode of the program "Qapqara" aired on Baku TV. The guest of the show was the famous meykhana master Rufat "Nasosniy" (Pump).
During the candid conversation, the artist evaluated the current state of the meykhana genre:
"Meykhana is a wonderful art. It's easy to earn money here. The problem is with the meykhana performers themselves. Previously, creative evenings used to end at midnight. Later, meykhana events began to drag on until three in the morning. This was not positively received in families, and meykhana was stigmatized as 'avaralshhina' (troublemaking). The reason for all this is the greed of meykhana performers."
Rufat "Nasosniy" also talked about a serious mistake of his youth - drug use:
"At that time, I thought it was the right path. Then I realized - if I had continued, I would have lost my morality. Money, respect, honor, and even faith can be regained. But the time and loved ones you've lost due to your mistakes can never be brought back."
