The opening of the building of Agdam city comprehensive secondary school number 1 took place

On July 18, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the building of Aghdam city comprehensive secondary school number 1 with a capacity of 960 student places.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev informed the head of state about the conditions created at the school.

Note that the foundation of this educational institution was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on May 28, 2021. In February of this year, the head of state and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the progress of construction work.

The school was built as part of the implementation of the "I State Program of the Great Return to the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation." The building will house 43 classrooms, 16 administrative offices, a center for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics – STEAM, consisting of 7 rooms, physical, chemical and biological laboratories equipped with modern technological equipment, computer science and pre-conscription training classrooms, a library, a museum, and a dining hall for 352 people. In addition, an assembly hall with 468 seats for various events, two indoor sports halls, and outdoor football and basketball courts have been made available to teachers and students at the school.

One of the most important issues today is the creation of a modern material and technical base in the field of education in Karabakh. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, extensive work is being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation to restore educational infrastructure and develop this sphere. Another example of this is the opening of Aghdam city comprehensive secondary school number 1.
