The master whom Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva met in Sheki spoke with Baku TV
Renowned shebeke master Tofig Rasulov told Baku TV about his meeting on April 28 in Sheki with Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva.
He noted that the meeting was held at a high level and the guests were presented in detail with the intricacies of the art of shebeke.
T. Rasulov stated that one of the main features of this craft is the assembly technique without nails and glue.
"This method is a rare technique in the world. The guests were able to see this process with their own eyes," he said.
"Leyla khanum particularly emphasized that this art must not be lost, it must develop, and that expanding education, organizing exhibitions, and nurturing the younger generation are important here," the master added.
