Turkish sports commentator Ahmet Çakar has been declared an undesirable person (persona non grata) in Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the well-known Turkish sports commentator and former football referee Ahmet Çakar has been declared an undesirable person in Azerbaijan. He has been banned from entering the country.

According to available information, he has been banned from entering the territory of Azerbaijan due to statements disseminated through various social networks and internet platforms directed against the country's sovereignty, national security, constitutional order, people and leadership, as well as calls for a violent change of power and incitement of violence based on religious radicalism, religious hatred and enmity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that appropriate measures will continue to be taken in response to appeals directed against Azerbaijan and actions that contribute to inciting enmity.
