The Women's Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has concluded in Lachin.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan Bahar Muradova, ECO Deputy Secretary General Silapberdi Nurberdiyev, and ECO Secretary General Asad Majid Khan addressed the forum.

During the event, panel sessions were held on the role of women in human development, urbanization, and sustainable development.

The first Women's Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is being held in Lachin.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the forum is being held as part of "ECO Week" at the initiative of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.

The main goal of the forum is to promote inter-sectoral cooperation among ECO countries to expand opportunities for women in all areas of human development, as well as to strengthen the role of women in forming sustainable, inclusive, and stable communities throughout the ECO region.

The event will discuss the role of women in human development for climate resilience, expanding opportunities for girls and women through education, digital inclusivity: innovation and experience exchange, as well as other topics.

The forum will also serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and exchange of experience between women leaders from various countries in the ECO region and relevant international partner organizations.
