The 103rd anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was celebrated at the SBS

The Head of the State Security Service (SSS), Colonel General Ali Nagiyev, and the personnel of the service visited the grave of the national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honors on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of his birth.

As reported by the SSS press service, they laid flowers at the graves of the great leader and the outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, paying deep respect to their blessed memory.

In his speech at the event dedicated to the anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, Ali Nagiyev highlighted the 25-year period of the great leader's fruitful work in the security agencies. He emphasized that it was thanks to the unwavering will of the visionary politician Heydar Aliyev that this important structure was nationalized and reorganized in the spirit of the ideology of Azerbaijanism.

The Head of the SSS noted that under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who masterfully continues the political course of the great leader, our country has achieved historic accomplishments in all spheres. He emphasized that thanks to the special attention and care of the head of our state, the security agencies have entered a qualitatively new stage of development.

The Colonel General noted that they will continue to carry out their assigned duties with high responsibility in the direction of protecting our statehood and ensuring national security.

The event concluded with the awarding of SSS employees who were honored with high state decorations for distinguished service.
