Scandal in the White House: Trump and Zelensky quarreled over the map of Ukraine

During a closed meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, an unexpected incident occurred. In a leaked photo, the two leaders can be seen discussing disputed territories on a map of Ukraine, where parts of Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions under Russian control were highlighted in different colors.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Haber Global's coverage, during the meeting Trump raised the issue of the status of territories in eastern Ukraine and brought up the topic of a possible territorial exchange.
"I am optimistic that we can reach an agreement on jointly preventing any future attacks on Ukraine, and honestly, I don't think such an attack will happen," Trump stated.
However, Zelensky firmly rejected these proposals, emphasizing that Ukraine would not compromise on the issue of territorial integrity.
"We will never accept a ceasefire. We will not act without security guarantees," Zelensky emphasized.
The atmosphere of the meeting became tense after Trump's sharp remarks directed at the Ukrainian leader: "You are showing disrespect to our country. I know that you cannot win."
After these words, Zelensky left the White House.
