President of Pakistan received the Ambassador of Azerbaijan
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari stated that Pakistan highly values Azerbaijan as a strategic partner, and ties between the two countries continue to strengthen.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the President of Pakistan, Zardari made this statement during the farewell visit of Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov at the Aiwan-e-Sadr residence.
"Zardari noted that Pakistan highly values Azerbaijan as a reliable brotherly country and strategic partner. According to him, bilateral ties, based on mutual trust and unwavering support for each other's key interests, continue to strengthen," the statement said.
The President of Pakistan expressed satisfaction with the intensification of parliamentary, business, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges between the countries. He reaffirmed the commitment to translating the shared vision of the leadership of both states into concrete results in the areas of trade and investment, transport connectivity, information technology, climate change mitigation, and tourism, as well as expanding cooperation in defense and security.
Zardari also highly appreciated Farhadov's contribution to the further strengthening of the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He highlighted the ambassador's role in organizing the historic state visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Pakistan in July 2024, which, according to him, opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.
Zardari congratulated Farhadov on the successful completion of his diplomatic mission in Islamabad and wished him success in his future endeavors.
