President of Northern Cyprus arrived on a visit to Azerbaijan
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar arrived on a visit to Azerbaijan on July 2.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, he was met at the airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov, Turkish Ambassador to Baku Birol Akgün and the head of the representative office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Baku Ufuk Turganer.
According to information, he is planned to participate as the head of an observer state at the XVII Summit of member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), which will be held on July 3-4 in Khankendi.
In addition, during the visit, the President of Northern Cyprus will participate in a number of events. It is also planned to award Ersin Tatar the title of honorary doctor of Azerbaijan Technical University.
