President of Azerbaijan: We suffered from a lack of attention from the international community

Living in conditions of peace is, on the whole, a unique experience on a global scale. A million people were subjected to ethnic cleansing. For thirty years, 20% of our territory was under occupation.

As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in his speech at the opening ceremony of the 13th Global Baku Forum.

"We suffered from the lack of international attention and the selectivity of some international players who were supposed to deal with this [Karabakh - ed.] conflict," the head of state noted.
