President of Azerbaijan: We need to try to have good-neighborly relations, as in the times of the USSR
It is important to protect the region from any crises around us. Unfortunately, the South Caucasus region has been an arena of confrontation and hostility for decades. Now we have a relatively calm period. Therefore, we need to focus on this.
As AZERTAJ reports, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in an interview with Euronews TV channel.
"Therefore, we need to focus on this; create security mechanisms that will be comprehensive, eliminate any threat of new military confrontation and try to have good neighborly relations, as we were used to during the Soviet Union times," the head of state added.
