On December 10, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the president of John Deere for Central Asia and CIS countries, Chief Executive Officer of John Deere Walldorf International LLC Csaba Lejko.

As reported by AZERTAG, during the conversation, it was emphasized that agriculture in Azerbaijan has wide potential, and the work being carried out at the state level for the development of this industry was noted.

Emphasizing that John Deere is operating successfully in our country, the guest expressed interest in expanding cooperation and provided information about their initiated project related to the cotton industry in Azerbaijan.

Csaba Lejko said that the development he witnessed in Baku made a deep impression on him.

At the meeting, prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the company were discussed, and views were exchanged on issues of establishing an educational and training center, exchanging experience, irrigation, logistics, and digitalization of the value-added chain in cotton and grain production.

It should be noted that John Deere, founded in 1837 in the USA, is one of the leading global companies engaged in the production of agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment. The company's main activities include the production of tractors, combine harvesters, and cotton pickers. John Deere's factories and offices, with total revenue of about 52 billion US dollars last year, operate in more than 30 countries.
