President of Azerbaijan: Pakistan's mediation efforts demonstrate the great respect this country enjoys on the international arena

I called the Prime Minister of Pakistan, my dear friend Shehbaz Sharif, to congratulate him on the achievement of the agreement between Iran and the USA. This was made possible through Pakistan's mediation efforts. And this once again demonstrates that Pakistan enjoys great respect on the international arena. Pakistan is the only country that was able to mediate on this issue, taking on such responsibility.

As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking about Pakistan's role in the conflict between the USA and Iran at the opening of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.

The head of state emphasized the importance of the ceasefire in this conflict given the recent developments and new tensions, and also stated that no other country besides Pakistan could have successfully fulfilled this mission. He also noted that the large-scale efforts undertaken by the Pakistani leadership in this direction once again demonstrated the country's international authority and capabilities, expressing confidence that thanks to the continuation of these efforts, peace will prevail in the Middle East.
