President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea

On June 15, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to our country, Kimgu Kang.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the ambassador presented his credentials to the head of state.
Then President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
Touching upon the successful development of relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea, the head of state emphasized the good level of political ties, noting that political consultations and dialogue are conducted on a regular basis. Emphasizing the existence of wide opportunities for further development of political and trade-economic ties, President Ilham Aliyev touched upon issues of cooperation within the framework of industrialization programs of our country, as well as the development of Azerbaijan's regions in this context.
Expressing satisfaction with his appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kimgu Kang said that it is a great honor for him to be received by President Ilham Aliyev on June 15 - the Day of National Salvation. Recalling the official visit of then-President of the Republic of Korea Roh Moo-hyun to our country, as well as the state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Korea, the ambassador emphasized that these visits gave a serious impetus to the development of relations.
The meeting discussed cooperation between our countries in the field of high technologies, digital transformation, science, education, including vocational education, medicine, and other areas.
The ambassador reported that the Alat Free Economic Zone is of interest to the business circles of the Republic of Korea.
During the conversation, it was noted that as a result of Azerbaijan's policy in the South Caucasus region, peace and stability have been ensured, and in this regard, hope was expressed for ensuring lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula as well.
