Events such as the CIS Games strengthen friendship and cooperation both within the Commonwealth space and beyond.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in a narrow format in Dushanbe.

Noting that the III CIS Games, held in Azerbaijan from September 28 to October 8 this year, took place in the ancient city of Ganja and six other Azerbaijani cities - Gabala, Goygol, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Khankendi, Sheki, the head of state emphasized: "Such events strengthen friendship and cooperation in the CIS space and beyond, contribute to the strengthening of relations based on equality, consideration of mutual interests and mutual respect".
