President: China is the fourth largest trading partner of Azerbaijan

China is the fourth largest trading partner of Azerbaijan, accounting for 7.9% of our total foreign trade, and it has also become the leader in imports, which amounted to 17.69%.

As AZERTAG reports, this was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an exclusive interview with the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Emphasizing the huge untapped potential between the two countries, the head of state noted: "I believe that the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the two countries is an important mechanism for deepening bilateral economic ties, identifying promising areas of cooperation and further consolidating them in the legal framework. Timely implementation of the Commission's decisions will be the key to the success of our efforts."
