Photo report from the military parade in Baku
On November 8, a military parade dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Victory in the Patriotic War was held in Azadlyg Square in Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the parade was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The national anthems of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan were played.
A minute of silence was observed in memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroic martyrs.
Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov reported to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif delivered speeches at the parade.
Then there was a procession of military equipment.
Following this, ships and boats of the Naval Forces and the State Border Service demonstrated high combat readiness in the coastal waters of the Caspian Sea during the military parade.
Later, combat aircraft and helicopters of the Air Force with the participation of pilots from Azerbaijan and Turkey performed flights over Azadlyg Square.
