Poland has joined the French "forward deterrence" program aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of nuclear security in Europe.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Baku TV, this was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in Gdańsk.

Tusk emphasized the need to strengthen Europe's sovereignty and develop deterrence mechanisms amid growing threats, confirming Poland's participation in the program.

At the same time, he noted that the issue of deploying French nuclear weapons on Polish territory is not currently being considered. However, the very act of joining the nuclear cooperation initiative indicates practical steps in this direction.

This measure is seen as Poland's move toward strengthening its military potential, particularly given that the country already possesses one of the most powerful armies in Europe and within NATO and is actively increasing its defense spending.
