Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva watched the play "Romeo and Juliet"
The performance "Romeo and Juliet" based on the play by the world dramaturgy luminary William Shakespeare was shown at the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theater.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the screening was attended by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and President Ilham Aliyev's daughter-in-law Alyona Aliyeva.
In this stage production, the eternal struggle between the concepts of Death and Life is presented through their personified images, using symbolic staging solutions and means of plastic expressiveness.
The roles in the performance were played by honored artists Bakhruz Ahmedli, Sabina Hajiyeva, actors Elnur Ismailov, Ali Alizade, Nurida Musabeyli and other actors.
The staging and musical arrangement of the performance was carried out by Jeyhun Dadashev. The duration of the performance is 55 minutes.
In the production, which is executed in the genre of a plastic portrait, an ironic approach also draws attention.
The stage work is another example of the creative pursuits of the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theater, aimed at reinterpreting classical dramaturgy in the modern language of plasticity.
