Ilham Aliyev: The leading driving force of our economy today is the non-oil sector

We have very positive economic indicators. However, the gross domestic product is not growing at very high rates. The main reason for this is the decrease in oil production due to objective reasons.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to AZERTAJ, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

Emphasizing that the non-oil sector is the leading driving force of our economy today, the head of state said: "This makes up the majority of our entire economy."
