Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the clinic building and educational building of Karabakh University

On September 14, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the Karabakh University Clinic building and the educational building of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences in the city of Khankendi.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, the Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov, and the Head of the Karabakh University Clinic, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences Samir Babayev informed the head of state about the created conditions.

It was noted that from the new academic year, the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences will begin functioning at Karabakh University. The faculty's educational building is equipped with equipment that meets modern requirements. The building has 10 study rooms and 9 auditoriums, 3 laboratories, work and examination offices, recreation areas, a library, and briefing halls. Laboratories for microbiology, histology, cell cultivation, and administrative premises will also operate here. The faculty will provide education according to a six-year medical program and a four-year nursing program developed jointly by local and foreign specialists, based on international experience. The modern education model that will be applied at the Karabakh University Clinic will allow students to transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills. Students will also be provided with extensive opportunities for conducting research and developing leadership qualities. One of the distinctive features of the faculty is the inclusion of an art program in the curriculum as an elective subject. Art is of great importance for developing students' self-expression skills, group interaction, and communication abilities.

The head of state familiarized himself with the conditions created in the Karabakh University Clinic building. The clinic was established in accordance with the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in February of this year. It will house 23 doctor's offices, laboratories, an X-ray room, emergency care rooms, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and angiography rooms. In a short time, a modern educational infrastructure in the field of medicine has been created at the higher education institution. The clinic will ensure the training of students studying medical specialties at Karabakh University as professional personnel, will play an important role in conducting scientific research in the field of medicine, as well as in protecting the health of the region's population. Educational, research activities, and medical service provision will be carried out simultaneously here.

The establishment of the Clinic at Karabakh University, as well as the opening of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences, is one of the important steps aimed at training professional medical personnel in accordance with the challenges of the new era. At the same time, scientific research conducted at the clinic will contribute to enhancing the academic reputation and international ranking of Karabakh University, as well as the development of medical science in our country, which will also increase the interest of foreign students in this higher education institution.
