Ilham Aliyev: In just over three years, we have already increased gas supplies to Europe to almost 13 billion cubic meters
Last year we exported more than 25 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Almost 13 billion cubic meters were exported to Europe, and this figure will grow.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was said by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, answering questions from business representatives from various countries at an event called "Breakfast with Azerbaijan's leadership" within the framework of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Noting that this was done at the request of the European Commission, the President of Azerbaijan recalled that after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, a document on strategic partnership in the energy sector was signed with the European Commission. "And we agreed to double our gas supplies to Europe from what was then almost 8 to 16 billion cubic meters. Thus, in just over three years, we have already reached almost 13 billion cubic meters. And this figure will grow," emphasized President Ilham Aliyev.
