In Azerbaijan, for centuries, an atmosphere of national and spiritual solidarity has reigned between various peoples and confessions, based on mutual respect and trust, good friendship and brotherhood.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the Orthodox Christian community of Azerbaijan.

"The promotion in our society and encouragement of a high culture of coexistence, moral and ethical norms, multicultural values, and principles of tolerance constitute the priority vector of our state policy," notes the head of state's address.
