On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created in private houses built in the village of Shukurbeyli.

As reported by AZERTAJ, the head of state and the first lady were informed about the work carried out in the village.

It was noted that a total of 2,522 people (615 families) are planned to be resettled in the village, including residents of the villages of Shikhalyaghaly, Dejel, and the settlement of Mahmudlu of Jabrayil district. At the initial stage, 635 private residential houses have been commissioned, of which 615 are intended for residents and 20 for official use. The houses have two, three, four, and five rooms.

A number of works have been carried out in the village to ensure comfortable living for residents and to address social issues. Two nursery-kindergartens with a capacity of 80 places each, a medical facility, a music school, a club-community center, and an administrative building for local executive structures have been built here.

In the village of Shukurbeyli, an electrical substation with a capacity of 35/10 kV has been built, and electricity supply, gas supply, drinking water, communication networks, as well as internet and IPTV networks have been established, and roads have been asphalted.
