Hikmet Hajiyev: My Uzbek colleague and I try to speak in Uzbek and Azerbaijani
We are working with our Uzbek colleague on communicating in a combination of Uzbek and Azerbaijani languages.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to journalists by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev.
"To a certain extent, this proves to be effective, we understand each other. When certain relevant terminological issues arise, we also speak in Russian. However, overall, we try to give preference to the Uzbek and Azerbaijani languages.
Understanding written texts is easier. I am not a linguist, but I have tried to study some foreign languages," he said.
