Hikmet Hajiyev: Military confrontation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not on the agenda

Today, military confrontation or escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not on the agenda.
As Report informs, this was stated by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev in an interview with the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.
According to him, work on signing a peace agreement between the two countries continues:
"Sometimes peace agreements are signed only formally, and the document does not bring real peace. In the case of the South Caucasus, the situation is different - there is real peace here. Military confrontation or escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan are not on the agenda. Only some disputed issues remain, which is quite natural. This is exactly why diplomacy and dialogue exist," Hajiyev noted.
