Hikmet Hajiyev congratulated journalists on their professional holiday

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev shared a publication on the occasion of National Press Day.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the publication on social network X states:

"Dear media representatives, dear friends!!!

I sincerely greet each of you and wholeheartedly congratulate you on July 22 - National Press Day. This significant day is of great importance not only for the media community but also for our entire society as a whole.

Journalism is an honorable profession that requires high responsibility. You professionally fulfill this complex but important mission, selflessly working on objectively informing society, educating and promoting national values.

The high appreciation and valuable words expressed by President Ilham Aliyev about our media are a vivid example of the enormous trust and attention to the journalism profession.

Today, Azerbaijani media is one of the effective tools of "soft power" that extends beyond national borders, operates at the international level, presents a regional view with a global perspective, is read and quoted in various regions of the world, and corresponds to our country's new global foreign policy.

The decree of our head of state on celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, as well as the awarding of state honors to many professional journalists, is a manifestation of the significance attached to media development in our country and a great incentive for those working in this field.

On the occasion of this significant anniversary, I once again sincerely congratulate each of you and wish you further success in implementing the goals set by our President for the national media, in your activities to strengthen our statehood and protect our national interests."
