The policy of chauvinism in Russia has taken on an especially brutal character during Vladimir Putin's presidency.

This is stated in a report by Turkish TV channel Haber Global, dedicated to the actions of Russian law enforcement agencies in Yekaterinburg, where murders and acts of violence against Azerbaijanis were committed.

The report notes that throughout its history, Russia has been known for its policy of discrimination based on nationality, and with Vladimir Putin's rise to power, this line has become even more brutal: "During a police raid on the homes of the Safarov family in Yekaterinburg, human rights were grossly violated and severe violence was used. This incident, which ignores all legal norms, has once again confirmed that in Russia, ultra-nationalism and intimidation policies have become official instruments of the state."
