Former First Secretary of Azerbaijan's Embassy in Greece arrested

Former First Secretary of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Greece Rahman Shahguseinli was detained and fined by decision of the Sumgayit City Court.
According to Baku.ws, citing Report, he is suspected of petty hooliganism, failure to comply with court bailiff's requirements to execute court decisions and other bodies' decisions, as well as disobedience to lawful demands of police officers.
Shahguseinli was detained and held accountable by officers of the 3rd Police Department of Sumgayit City Police Department.
Three protocols were drawn up against him and sent for consideration to the Sumgayit City Court. The police requested his arrest for 2 months.
The Sumgayit City Court acquitted Shahguseinli on the petty hooliganism charge but fined him 500 manats for two other offenses. He was released in the courtroom.
This fact was confirmed to Report by Rahman Shahguseinli's lawyer Kenul Jafarli.
Note that the First Secretary of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Greece Rahman Shahguseinli was recalled in September 2024, and his diplomatic activity was terminated "for actions incompatible with the status of a diplomatic service employee."
