Five years have passed since the liberation of Fuzuli
Today marks the fifth anniversary of the liberation of Fizuli city from occupation.
On October 17, 2020, the Azerbaijani army wrote a new glorious page in the history of the struggle for the liberation of our lands - on that day several territories were liberated from occupation.
President Ilham Aliyev announced on his social media page on X (formerly Twitter - ed.) the complete liberation by the Azerbaijani army of the villages of Gochakhmedli, Chimen, Musabeyli, Pirakhmedli, Dedeli, Ishygly and Juvarli of Fizuli district, as well as the city of Fizuli.
According to the decree of the head of state dated July 31, 2023, October 17 is celebrated as Fizuli City Day.
