Erdogan: Zangezur Corridor - a new line of integration into the Turkic world
The Zangezur corridor for Azerbaijan is not only an opportunity to have a land connection with Nakhchivan, but also a new line of integration through Turkey into the Turkic world.
As Report informs, this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to journalists on board the plane upon his return from Azerbaijan.
According to him, the opening of the Zangezur corridor in a short time will also strengthen the transport and energy infrastructure of the South Caucasus.
"We expect Iran to support these steps that will serve peace, security and development in our region," he noted.
Erdogan also said that Ankara strongly supports Baku's efforts to restore and develop the territories liberated from occupation.
"Turkey welcomes the steps taken by Azerbaijan and Armenia within the peace process. The agreement on the text of the peace agreement is also an important development on the path to stability, and we wish this process to be completed in the near future," added the Turkish leader.
