Erdogan: The railway along the Zangezur corridor route will give impetus to regional trade

The Kars - Igdir - Dilucu railway (on the border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) will become a powerful stimulus for regional cooperation and development.
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking on August 22 at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new railway in Igdir province.
In his address, the Turkish leader emphasized the importance of railway communication along the Zangezur corridor route. According to him, the project will boost exports, production, and tourism development in the provinces of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as in the Mediterranean region of Turkey.
He also noted that the expansion of railway connections between Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey in general will have a positive impact on regional trade.
