Erdogan: I sincerely believe that Khankendi will become a symbol of peace
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed sincere belief that the city of Khankendi will become a symbol of peace.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the head of state announced this at the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
According to him, holding the summit specifically in Khankendi gives the event special significance. "Turkey is mobilizing all efforts to achieve zero emissions by 2053 and form a sustainable development path. As part of the program for 2024-2030, we plan to reduce carbon emissions by 100 million tons. I would like to note that the documents adopted at COP29 in Azerbaijan are in the final stage of approval in our country," said Erdogan.
He also congratulated the Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev on Shusha being selected as the ECO tourism capital for 2026.
