Delegation of the Lithuanian Military Academy visited Azerbaijan

In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026, signed between the ministries of defense of Azerbaijan and Lithuania, a delegation from the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania visited Baku.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

First, the guests visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid tribute to the heroes who gave their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, meetings were held at the National Defense University, as well as at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute and the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum, which operate under the university's authority.

The guests were provided with information about the work carried out in organizing the military education system, training military personnel, organizing the educational process, and ensuring the professional development of students.

During the meetings, the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of military education was emphasized, and an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest took place.

In conclusion, the parties exchanged commemorative gifts.

At the end of the visit, the guests were presented with a performance by the orchestra of the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum.
